Diagnosis: Apparently does not relate to v. chilotanum or is a very remote form. Relation to other varieties is not clear. Similar to chilotanum in anthers.
Leaf 3-4 paired, the terminal leaflet is large, the number of leaflets varies from “0” to one pair. On lateral axillary stems there are simple leaves.
Distinctions from  v. chilotanum: thin pedicels, short pubescence, narrow mucronules, strongly reflected, corolla lobes are medium-sized, thin style, conical filaments, thick.
