Diagnosis: (Cultivar type Pachacona.) Tubers are long, horn-shaped, like by the breeding cultivar Corne blanche, yellow with pink eyes. Sprouts are long, big, of the cultivar type Ashleaved. Plants in the first phases of growth are lower compared to the other Chilean forms.
Mucronules are very long and pretty wide, very strongly reflected. Corolla is purple, strongly ribbed, as like with papillae, like by S. mammiliferum.
Stamen filaments are rather thick, 1100-1350 microns thick. Anthers are in a typical straight column, their backs are sometimes reddish by old flowers. Style is 700 microns thick, papillae are very short, 18-27 micrones. Stigma is with heart-shaped lobes, flattened, sometimes strongly biforcated. Forms berries.
Juz. 1992 and 2005. Cultivated in Yutuy, Aguatao under the name Pachacona.
Well distinct variety, together with ñ v. elegans and v. villaroella it is the most remote variety among S. tuberosum from the breeding varieties. |
