Diagnosis: Blue tubers. Leaves with narrow leaflets, slightly dissected, 6 pairs of leaflets, in a series there are around 2 pairs of primary leaflets, rarely 3 basiscopic, also basiscopic secondary leaflets occur.
Pedicels are rather thin, up to 20 mm long below articulation, above they are long, about 9,5 mm, extending at the top, as usual by S. tuberosum. Short pubescence.
Bilabiate calyx, sometimes with a constriction, like by v. mexicanum, inside 9,5 mm. long, mucronules equal one-third of the external calyx length, slightly reflected.
Corolla is dark-purple with a dark star, sometimes with irregular white spots from above, with white tips from the bottom. Corolla radius is 22-24 mm, lobe  11-12Õ20, acumen 3,5-4 mm.
Stamen filaments are yellow, thick, up to 2,5 mm long, 2,5 mm from the margin, almost straight and slightly fastigiate. Anther column is conic, slightly displaced. Anthers: from 6-8 mm, sometimes with anthocyan.
The style is thin 11 mm long, almost straight, clearly outstanding above the stamens. Stigma is of an average size, capitate. Ovary with tapered apex. Forms usually a lot of berries, which distincts it among the Chilean form. Young berries are elongated and pointed.
