Diagnosis: Is distinct from chaped in longer corolla lobes. A well distinguishable form.
Undoubtedly chilotanum by thin filaments (700-800 µ.), thin style (500-650 µ.) and very long papillae (from 60 till 135 µ.), and also by the leaf.
It blooms earlier and richer than chaped. Upper pedicel is long, green, articulation at 1/3 - 3/5 of pedicel length, coloured. Calyx is often bilabiate. Mucronules are strongly  deflexed. Corolla is almost completely purple  with small brim (by thalassinum the brim is well defined).
Filaments are straight, like by chilotanum, yellow. Anthers are yellow, degenerated. Stigma is wide, bilobated.
Grown on the island Chiloe in Quetalmahue Juz. 2030à et. al. and on the island San Sebastiano Juz. 2038. native name mahuinhue.
