Diagnosis: Very close to Soldada. Tubers are rounded, black-blue, coloured in and under the skin. Tuber flesh is strongly colored with anthocyan, stippled, except the cortex where it is yellowish.
Stem is intesely colored, articulation is colored. Pubescence is longer. Flowering is remontant.
Corolla is light-purple, radius 23 mm, lobe 13 mm, acumen 3,5 mm. Ovary is conic. Filaments are up to 1500 micr. thick, some of the thickest in Chile. Style is 700-740 micr. thick. Papillae 35-65 micr. 1.)
Similarity with Francesa negra: shape of leaflets (but strongly dissected), position of pedicel articulation, it is long and green above the articulation and extended at the top, short pubescence, strongly parted corolla, thick filaments and style.
Differences from Francesa negra: tuber and flesh color. Very intensely coloured, almost black stem, articulation is not colored, calyx is bigger, up to 11 mm, mucronules are wider, corolla color is more violet, ster is narrower, filaments are yellow, anthers are larger, colored with anthocyan along the back, conic column, ovary is bigger and less globular.
Grown on Chiloe island, Mechaico. Juz. 2022 named Bolera.
