S. andigenum Juz. et Buk. var. quechuanum Buk. et Lechn.

S.M. Bukasov. Potatoes of South America and their breeding use, Leningrad, 1933, p. 57.

Diagnosis: A variety very close to ckello-huaccoto var. quechuanum = cultivar type Taccla.
Very different from ckello-huaccoto in habitus. Stem is erected, dense as a consequence of numerous auxiliary branches. Plants at first are lower.
Other differences: leaf is with pronounced midvein, rough, more shiny, less dissected. There are up to 5 pairs of leaflets, 2 out of them are smaller, 1 pair of primary leaflets in a series, no primary leaflets in the end series. Calyx acumens are short, wide. Anthers are often wide (up to 3 mm).
Cultivated in South Peru in dep. Cuzco: Ppisacc (Juz. ¹ 1009à) and in other places. Apparently, it is slightly outstanding among S. andigenum by its frost-resistance. Tuberization is better than by the form Pacus.
