S. andigenum Juz. et Buk. f. lilacinoflorum Buk.

S.M. Bukasov. Potatoes of South America and their breeding use, Leningrad, 1933, p. 38

Diagnosis: It distinguishes itself in a reddish corolla color with a lighter star, sometimes with a wider stigma sinus, corolla acumens, less fused on a not quite opened corolla and in a very low yield (like Caiceda). It sometimes occurs in a mix with the main form.
It is cultivated as the main form in Bogota (¹ 42), Chipaque (¹ 48, 50c, 57a) and Fontibon (¹ 74a).
By seeding the seeds of f. tocanum, which were formed in a natural way, segregation of various characters is present, that still remain close to the original form.
The most constant form of corolla petals and its large size, form of anthers and absence of dense pubescence.
A black corolla star characteristic for the main form is dominant, multiflourous inflorescence (often with 3-4 curves), upper leaves in inflorescence, calyx acumens are pressed, half-closed anthers, long styles, length of pedicel below and above articulation and thickness of pedicle. Density of pedicle pubescence, still it is never very dense, shape of stigma sinus and size of stigma and all characters of color of pedicle, articulation, calyx, stamen filaments, star and corolla. Except typical color a dark-blue and dark-violet color is present in shades like by Caiceda and Lisarasa, light-lilac and white.
One of the most yielding Columbian forms close to S. tuberosum in wide leaflets, but completely different in flower characters. Manifestation of negative photoperiodic reaction of tuberization is less in comparison to the main group of Columbian forms and presence of name "de la seja", i.e. probably after lower regions, than Poramo, means that it is worth checking the expansion of this form on higher altitudes.
