Diagnosis: Tuberization is pretty good.
Upper pedicle is higher than articulation like by the type S. tuberosum, thick, expanding at the top. Corolla is violet-blue, with sloping petals, radius= 17 mm, lobe= 11 mm, acumen 4 mm. Stamen filaments are straight, colored with anthocyan, bluish, more intensively colored in the middle part. Color of filaments gives them the impression of being thin.
Anthers are 7,5-7,75 mm long. Stigma is pressed, diameter 1,5/64 dm., elongate. Berries are oval.
Juz. ¹ 1522c from La Paz under the name Pala and 1741k Sota mari.
By Cevallos Tovar some chuno sorts of Sota-mari with elongate speckled tubers, blue with white or white with blue are described. Pala has flat tuber of a white color.
