Diagnosis: Habitus: main stems are decumbent, axillary branches are erect and numerous, like by the type. Leaf is like by the type.
Differences from the type: tubers are yellow (long, reniform, with small eyes, with relatively high productivity), wide-branching inflorescence as a consequence of bigger pedicle length, ovary is longer (also berries?).

Indigenous names "phiti-kalla", surimana, choque pitu do not correspond to the definition of these names. In particular, according to Cevallos Tovar, the variety Phiti-kalla ("digging parrot") has elongate tubers, yellow, but with very deep eyes and pink flesh.
