Officials from the Ministry of Economic Development have issued two resolutions №2058-p and №2061-p. They sanctioned a handover of two patches belonging to VIR's Pavlovsk Experiment Station to the Russian Housing Development Foundation. These patches harbor unique fruit and berry crops from all over the world that form a part of VIR collection. Execution of these orders within three months is impossible, since it means a total destruction of one of the largest in Northern Europe field genebanks assembled by Vavilov himself and his associates in 1926.
